Flint Implements of Prehistoric Man

In 1949 Mr. R. N. Hannigan found two flint scrapers, a perforated bone pin, and small sherds of hand made pottery in a chalk pit adjacent to the Laceby Beck in the south of the Parish. These have been identified as being possibly from the Bronze or Iron Age (1000 - 500 BC). This unfortunately does not prove a settlement existed at this time.
